Pure Actives' Sepimax ZEN is a high-performance, synthetic polyacrylate crosspolymer powder (Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6) developed by Seppic, offering a unique combination of thickening, emulsification, and stabilization in a single self-emulsifying polymer. Unlike conventional carbomers and acrylate copolymers, Sepimax ZEN is self-neutralizing upon hydration — it does not require a separate neutralization step, significantly simplifying formulation processes. It produces exceptionally clear, high-refractive-index gels with a smooth, non-tacky skin feel and provides outstanding stability for both oil-in-water emulsions and anhydrous gel-cream textures across a broad pH range.
This ingredient is intended for cosmetic use only. Not for internal consumption. Always conduct a patch test before use in finished formulations.
Sprinkle Sepimax ZEN powder slowly onto water while stirring to avoid clumping. It will self-hydrate and self-neutralize without the need for a separate neutralization step. Use at 0.5–2.0% depending on desired viscosity and texture. For clear gels, use at 1.0–2.0%; for light emulsions, use at 0.5–1.0%. Compatible with electrolytes, actives, and a broad range of cosmetic ingredients across pH 3.5–9.0. Suitable for serums, gels, lightweight moisturizers, gel-creams, and micellar waters.
