Pure Actives' Ceramide Powder is a plant-derived, cosmetic-grade ceramide complex at ≥98% purity, designed to restore and reinforce the skin's natural lipid barrier. Ceramides are the dominant lipid component of the stratum corneum, accounting for approximately 50% of the skin barrier's lipid composition. They form lamellar bilayer structures between corneocytes that regulate transepidermal water loss (TEWL), protect against environmental aggressors, and maintain skin homeostasis. Topical ceramide supplementation is clinically validated for restoring compromised barriers in dry, eczema-prone, aging, and environmentally damaged skin.
This ingredient is intended for cosmetic use only. Not for internal consumption. Always conduct a patch test before use in finished formulations.
Add to the oil phase of your formulation at 0.1–1.0%. Pre-disperse in a carrier oil or emollient before incorporating into your formulation. Works synergistically with cholesterol and fatty acids to replicate the skin's natural lipid ratio. Suitable for barrier repair moisturizers, dry skin treatments, eczema-care formulations, anti-aging creams, and sensitive skin serums.
