Hyaluronic Acid Powder LMW — Deep Hydration That Works From Within
Most hyaluronic acid sits on the surface of your skin. Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid (LMW-HA) doesn’t. At ~10–50 kDa, its small molecular size allows it to penetrate into the epidermis — delivering hydration, stimulating collagen synthesis, and improving elasticity where it actually matters. If you’re building a serious anti-aging or hydration formula, this is the HA that does the heavy lifting beneath the surface.
Who Is This For?
- DIY formulators building anti-aging serums, essences, eye creams, or ampoules
- Skincare brands targeting fine lines, loss of elasticity, or deep dehydration
- Formulators who want to go beyond surface hydration with a penetrating, collagen-stimulating active
- Anyone building a dual-weight HA system — pair with HMW Hyaluronic Acid for surface + deep hydration in one formula

Key Benefits
-
Deep skin penetration — small molecular size (~10–50 kDa) absorbs into the epidermis for targeted hydration
-
Collagen stimulation — supports fibroblast activity to improve skin firmness and reduce fine lines
-
Intense hydration — binds water molecules within skin layers for long-lasting moisture retention
-
Anti-aging activity — works at a cellular level to improve texture, elasticity, and overall appearance
-
Versatile and process-friendly — dissolves easily in water, compatible with most actives and rheology modifiers

Target pH: 5.5–6.5 | Target Viscosity: Light essence/serum (add Hydroxyethylcellulose at 0.2–0.4% in Phase A for a slightly thicker texture)
Formulation Notes
- Disperse LMW-HA slowly into the water phase at room temperature — allow 15–30 minutes hydration time before combining phases
- Avoid high-shear mixing to preserve molecular integrity
- LMW-HA and HMW-HA are fully compatible — both dissolve in the water phase at room temperature
- Niacinamide is heat-stable and water-soluble — safe to add directly to Phase A
- Add D-Panthenol and Allantoin in cool-down to preserve their activity
- Conduct a 3-month stability test (40°C/75% RH) and patch test before commercializing
