Pure Actives' Geogard ECT is a broad-spectrum, ECOCERT-approved preservative blend formulated for cosmetic and personal care applications. Combining Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, and Sorbic Acid, Geogard ECT delivers effective antimicrobial protection against bacteria, yeast, and mould across a wide range of aqueous formulations. It is free from parabens, formaldehyde donors, and isothiazolinones, making it a preferred choice for natural, organic, and sensitive-skin formulations that require compliant, well-tolerated preservation systems.
This ingredient is intended for cosmetic use only. Not for internal consumption. Always conduct challenge testing in finished formulations to confirm preservation efficacy. Always conduct a patch test before use.
Add to the water phase of your formulation at 0.5–1.5%, below 40°C. Ensure formulation pH is within the effective range of 3.0–5.5 for optimal preservation efficacy. Always perform challenge testing (PET) on finished formulations to confirm adequate preservation. Suitable for lotions, creams, serums, toners, shampoos, conditioners, and other aqueous personal care products requiring natural-compatible preservation.
