Suggested Usage & Formulation
Suggested Usage & Formulation
Alpha Arbutin can be incorporated into a wide range of cosmetic products including serums, gels, creams, and lotions. It is best added to the water phase of the formulation and protected from high heat. For emulsions, add during the cool-down stage below 40 °C to ensure stability. Ideal for targeted treatments, it is often paired with synergistic actives such as niacinamide, tranexamic acid, and kojic acid for multi-functional brightening blends.
Technical Data
Technical Data
Alpha Arbutin is a white crystalline powder with no significant odor. It is fully water-soluble and typically incorporated into the water phase of a formulation. The recommended usage rate is 0.2% to 2%, with 2% being the most common level in serums and creams. Stability is best maintained in a pH range between 4.5 and 6.5. To preserve quality, store in a tightly sealed container at 10–25 °C, away from direct heat, light, and humidity. Shelf life is approximately 24 months under proper storage conditions.
