Suggested Usage & Formulation

Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is incorporated into the oil phase of emulsions or solubilized into esters before being blended into serums, creams, and lotions. It is often paired with synergistic cosmetic actives such as Alpha Arbutin, Niacinamide, and Vitamin C derivatives for advanced radiance-supporting blends. Due to its oil solubility, it is highly versatile in emulsified creams and serums where long-term stability is required.

Benefits

Kojic Acid Dipalmitate supports a brighter, more radiant-looking skin tone while avoiding the discoloration issues of pure Kojic Acid. Its stability and oil solubility make it a premium choice for long-lasting brightening cosmetic formulations.

Safety

For external use only. Always use within the recommended concentration range and patch-test finished products before regular use. Not intended for ingestion or pharmaceutical use.

Technical Data

Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is a fine white to off-white crystalline powder with mild odor. Unlike traditional Kojic Acid, it is soluble in oils and esters rather than water, making it ideal for oil-based systems or the oil phase of emulsions. The recommended cosmetic use level ranges from 1% to 5%, with 2–3% being the most common. It should be added to the oil phase and heated gently until fully dissolved; avoid processing temperatures above 80 °C. The ingredient is stable in formulations with a pH of 4.0 to 7.0 and has a shelf life of approximately 24 months when stored in a cool, dry place between 10–25 °C, away from heat and direct sunlight.
