Pure Actives' Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein Powder is a plant-derived, water-soluble protein active with ≥80% protein content, produced through the enzymatic or acid hydrolysis of wheat gluten into low molecular weight peptides and amino acids. In cosmetic formulations, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein functions as a multifunctional conditioning and film-forming active with demonstrated efficacy in both skin and hair care applications. Its small peptide fragments penetrate the hair cortex and skin surface to repair, strengthen, and hydrate from within, while its film-forming properties deliver immediate smoothing, detangling, and protective benefits on the surface.
This product contains wheat protein. Not suitable for individuals with wheat or gluten sensitivities. Always disclose in finished product labelling as required by applicable cosmetic regulations.
This ingredient is intended for cosmetic use only. Not for internal consumption. Always conduct a patch test before use in finished formulations.
Add to the water phase of your formulation at 0.5–2.0%. Dissolve in water before combining with other ingredients. Works synergistically with other conditioning agents, humectants, and film-formers. Suitable for shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, leave-in treatments, protein treatments, skin serums, and moisturizing body lotions.
