Cucumber Peel Clear Extract – Colorless Soothing Botanical

Cucumber peel clear extract (INCI: Cucumis Sativus Fruit Extract | CAS: 89998-01-6) is a refined, colorless botanical active derived from the peel of Cucumis sativus — the same plant whose cooling and soothing properties have been used in skincare for centuries, now concentrated and clarified for modern cosmetic formulation. Unlike whole cucumber extracts that can introduce colour or turbidity, this clear version maintains full formula transparency, making it ideal for serums, gels, toners, and eye products where clarity is essential.

Its bioactive profile includes flavonoids (including quercetin and kaempferol), cucurbitacins, vitamin C precursors, and silica — compounds that collectively deliver antioxidant protection, anti-inflammatory action, and skin-conditioning benefits. Cucurbitacins in particular have documented anti-inflammatory and astringent properties, helping to reduce puffiness, calm redness, and tighten the appearance of pores. The flavonoid content contributes to free radical neutralization, supporting long-term skin resilience against environmental stressors.

How to incorporate:
