Calendula has been used for centuries to calm, heal, and protect irritated skin. Rich in flavonoids, saponins, and triterpenes, it's one of the most respected botanicals in cosmetic chemistry — especially for sensitive, reactive, or compromised skin.
But here's the problem most formulators run into: traditional Calendula extract is amber to dark brown. Add it to a clear toner or a light serum and suddenly your beautiful formula looks murky.
This version solves that.
Our Calendula Clear Liquid Extract delivers the same soothing, anti-inflammatory botanical benefits in a colourless, water-soluble form — so your formulas stay crystal clear, bright, and professional-looking, no matter the usage rate.
This is the go-to Calendula extract for any formula where clarity matters:
Add this extract to the water phase of your formula, or during cool-down below 40°C / 104°F for hot-process emulsions. Use at 1.0% to 10.0% of your total formula weight. In a 100g batch, that's just 1g–10g. It dissolves instantly, stays clear, and gets to work right away.
Tip: If you're making creams, lotions, or body products where a natural amber colour is fine — or even desirable — check out our Calendula Brown Liquid Extract instead.
