If your skin — or your customer's skin — is red, irritated, dry, or reactive, Calendula is one of the most trusted botanicals in skincare for a reason. Used for centuries to calm inflammation and support skin healing, this extract brings that same time-tested power into a modern, easy-to-use liquid form.
This is the brown/amber version — the natural, minimally processed form of Calendula extract. The colour comes from the rich flavonoids and carotenoids in the flower itself. If you're making creams, lotions, masks, or body products where a little natural colour is welcome, this is your ingredient.
This extract shines in formulas where natural colour is not a concern:
Add this extract to the water phase of your formula during cool-down (below 40°C / 104°F). Use at 1.0% to 10.0% of your total formula weight. In a 100g batch, that's just 1g–10g. It blends in easily and gets to work immediately.
Tip: If you're making a clear toner or serum and want zero colour, choose our Clear Calendula Extract instead. This brown version is best for opaque or naturally tinted formulas.

Colour Note: This extract is amber to dark brown and will impart a pale yellow to light tan tint to your finished formula depending on usage rate. Best suited for creams, lotions, masks, and body products where colour is not a concern. For clear formulas, choose the Clear version instead.
